NFL Power Rankings From Last Year
The 2010 professional football season was a season that did not disappoint. It was a season full of drama, and a great finish with the Packers and the Steelers playing for all the marbles in the Super Bowl. The title game was eventually won by the Packers in great style in a game that lived up to its billing. Here are the NFL power rankings from 2010.
It should be no surprise the Green Bay Packers are the number one team in the NFL. They should be since they won the Super Bowl. They beat out the Pittsburgh Steelers in the title game. This is an easy one, they are number one and number two respectively.
Next in the top twenty spots from last year you have the Jets at spot number three followed by the Falcons at number four. The Falcons have a dynamic young quarterback in Matt Ryan with a defense that is smothering. Their ranking may increase this year. The following teams, the Ravens, Bears, Patriots, and Saints round out the next spots. They were just plays away from advancing in the playoffs.
The Buccaneers, The Chiefs, Colts, and Philadelphia Eagles were the next in line in the power rankings. The Bucs were upstarts and surprising along with the Chiefs. The Colts were surprising when they lost so early. The following teams are the Giants, Chargers, Raiders, and Seahawks. The Seahawks made history by being the very first team in the playoffs with a losing record.
The Rams, Dolphins, Jaguars, and Cowboys follow. You expect the Cowboys, with all their history, to be higher. But, with the season ending injury to star quarterback Tony Romo, the Cowboys ended less than average. They became the biggest disappointment of the NFL season with all that talent.
These are the power rankings from teams one to twenty from 2010. Some of these are sure fire bets to get into the playoffs next year, and some of these may drop even further down the list.
